Your quote list
The items and details you enter in the quote list are kept only in your own browser. We receive them only when you choose to send the list to us on WhatsApp.
The AI assistant
When you use "Ask about a part", the messages you type, the page you are on and the time are sent to our server and to Anthropic, the company that provides the AI model, so that the assistant can reply. Please do not type personal, identity or payment details into the chat. To stop misuse, we also keep a scrambled (hashed) form of your network address for up to 2 days, only to count how many chats are started from it.
Why we keep chats
We keep each chat for 30 days after the last message so our staff can follow up on a request you send us on WhatsApp, and so we can see which products customers look for and improve our catalogue and service. After 30 days the chat is deleted automatically. Chats are stored with Cloudflare, our website host.
Messages you send to us on WhatsApp are handled by WhatsApp and kept in our WhatsApp account as part of normal business records for your quote and order.
Your choices
You do not have to use the assistant: you can send your list or question straight to us on WhatsApp. To ask what chat data we hold about you, or to ask us to delete it sooner, contact us on WhatsApp and give the chat ref shown in your message to staff.
